Dybala: 'Morata scared of Chiellini!'

Paulo Dybala reveals Alvaro Morata “was always scared of facing Giorgio Chiellini” in Juventus training ahead of Italy v Spain.

The two teammates are set to face off at Euro 2016 on Monday at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

“Italy looked good apart from the last game with the Republic of Ireland, when they had made many changes,” Juve star Dybala told La Gazzetta dello Sport.

“It’ll be a great battle, as Spain play good football, so I hope it’ll be entertaining and with many goals.

Chiellini: ‘Italy need intensity’

Giorgio Chiellini hopes Italy’s rotation against the Republic of Ireland will give them “intensity” against Spain.

Antonio Conte made eight changes for the final match of the group stage, with the Azzurri having already guaranteed top spot.

“We rested a lot of players in the last game, so hopefully that can be an advantage,” Chiellini told reporters in a Press conference.

‘Italy defence world’s best’

Daniele De Rossi believes the Italy defence is “the best in the world”.

Fielding the Juventus ‘BBC’ backline of Andrea Barzagli, Leonardo Bonucci and Giorgio Chiellini, the Azzurri haven’t allowed a shot on Gigi Buffon’s goal in their first two games.

“The defence? I think it’s the best in the world, along with Buffon,” De Rossi told reporters in a Press conference.

Italy call the shots

Italy may not have been flashy against Sweden, writes Andrea Tallarita, but their system is brutally efficient.

Along with defending champions Spain, Italy are now the only team in Euro 2016 with six points and two clean sheets. It's an impressive result and Coach Antonio Conte deserves all the praise he's been getting for it. The good news is that things should only get easier from here onwards, as the opponents will get more and more technical, and thus more and more likely to fall for Italy's anti-possession system.

Giorgio Chiellini “cleared the air” with Sweden midfielder Albin Ekdal, who called the Italy defender “a swine” on the pitch.

The pair met again in today’s 1-0 Azzurri victory in Toulouse.

In an interview the day before, ex-Juventus man Ekdal had revealed Chiellini “could be a swine” during match situations.

“He was certainly misunderstood,” Chiellini told Italian reporters.

Ibra: 'If I'd fought Chiellini...'

Zlatan Ibrahimovic joked about his duel with Giorgio Chiellini. “If we’d been fighting for real, he’d be in hospital.”

The striker revived his clash with Chiellini in Sweden’s 1-0 defeat to Italy at Euro 2016.

“In football you must stay concentrated for 90 minutes, otherwise you get punished by a team like Italy, and that’s exactly what happened today,” said Ibra.

Chiellini: 'Eder deserves glory'

Giorgio Chiellini is happy “Eder gets this moment of glory” and thanks Andrea Barzagli for a good luck charm as Italy beat Sweden.

“It was a great move from Simone Zaza and Eder. Zaza has this extraordinary physicality, while Eder uses his pace and movement against very physical defenders,” Chiellini told Sky Sport Italia.

“Eder had shown in training over the last few days that he had his scoring boots on, so we kind of expected it.
