Lennon: 'Celtic out to make history'

Celtic boss Neil Lennon says his side will be out to make history and let their fans “enjoy themselves” against Lazio this evening.

Celtic will qualify for the Europa League knockout stages if they beat Lazio and Stade Rennais fail to win against CFR Clug later.

However, the Scots have so far failed to emerge victorious in their 12 previous trips to Italy.

“Realistically it is going to be very difficult to win here. Records are there to be broken,” Lennon said at a Press conference.

Probable line-ups: Lazio-Celtic

Felipe Caicedo should be fit enough to partner Ciro Immobile in attack when Lazio face Celtic in the Europa League this evening.

Caicedo injured his shoulder against Milan last weekend, but Tuttomercatoweb and Sky Sport Italia both expect him to feature at the Olimpico.

On the other hand, Stefan Radu, Adam Marusic and Joaquin Correa are all sidelined, whereas Danilo Cataldi is suspended.

Replacing Radu in the back three will be Denis Vavro, while Bastos should make way for Luiz Felipe.

Ultras ruining Lazio's image

Lazio must realise ultras are damaging their international standing and really do something to clamp down on the Fascist elements, warns Emmet Gates.

The video went viral. If you are reading this article, chances are you’ve probably seen it. The video captured Lazio’s ultras, dressed in identikit clothing of denim jeans and black leather jackets, parading through Glasgow town centre giving the Roman salute.

Once the video hit the Internet it, not surprisingly, caused a huge backlash. The club were brandished as ‘Nazio’ (not exactly an original slur). Lazio released a statement condemning the behavior of these fans, and for ‘bringing Hitler into our club’.
