Sirigu: 'I lost friends in Paris'

Salvatore Sirigu reveals he lost two friends in the Paris terrorist attacks. “It’s hard to accept losing people you see almost every day.”

The Italy and Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper spoke to Rai Sport after a 2-2 friendly draw with Romania.

“There are many things to improve, perhaps we need to be a bit more efficient in the various duels around the pitch. We are working on it and aim to improve on these in training.”

Milan look to Sirigu?

Reports suggest that Milan will try to sign out of favour Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu should Diego Lopez leave.

The Italy international has lost his place with the French champions to Kevin Trapp this season, as has Lopez with the Rossoneri.

Sport Mediaset has reported that Lopez could leave San Siro in January or June after being usurped by 16-year-old Gianluigi Donnarumma.

The outlet also believes that Sinisa Mihajlovic’s side could launch a bid for Sirigu should Lopez depart, as he seeks regular playing time again.

Milan seek Sirigu?

Despite Gianluigi Donnarumma’s performances, Milan are linked with a bid for PSG goalkeeper Salvatore Sirigu in January.

The 16-year-old goalkeeper has proved to be an inspired choice by Sinisa Mihajlovic, keeping their first two clean sheets of the season.

He performed numerous decisive saves in last night’s 0-0 draw with Atalanta, voted Man of the Match by several papers.

Sirigu seeks Serie A return

Salvatore Sirigu could leave Paris Saint-Germain in January to retain his spot for Italy at Euro 2016.

The former Palermo goalkeeper has been at the Parc des Princes since 2011, but is yet to play a single minute for PSG this season.

He was pushed on to the bench by the arrival of Kevin Trapp.

According to French newspaper Le Parisien, the 28-year-old is afraid he’ll lose his place as second choice to Gigi Buffon for Italy.

He’s therefore looking for a January transfer and Serie A seems the most likely solution.
