Benitez rejects West Ham for Madrid

Napoli Coach Rafa Benitez is reportedly in talks with Real Madrid after turning down an offer from West Ham.

His contract with the Partenopei expires on June 30 and few expect him to renew it after two years at the Stadio San Paolo.

Napoli lose Benitez and Bigon?

Napoli could undergo a complete revamp this summer, as Rafa Benitez and director of sport Riccardo Bigon are on the way out.

Coach Benitez has repeatedly refused to confirm whether he’ll extend the contract that is due to expire at the end of this season.

Elimination from the Europa League semi-finals to Dnipro made it more and more unlikely he will remain.

There are proposals from England, including West Ham and his old club Liverpool, plus a big money offer from China.

Stoke City reportedly viewed Sampdoria midfielder Pedro Obiang, already a target for West Ham.

According to Sky Sport Italia, Stoke Chief Executive Tony Scholes was in the stands at Marassi for last night’s 1-1 draw against Verona.

He was there to keep a close eye on Obiang ahead of a summer bid.

This is not the first time the Spaniard has been linked with the Premier League, as West Ham United were also interested.

Clubs line up for Richards

Inter, Aston Villa, Southampton, West Ham and Everton are interested in Fiorentina full-back Micah Richards.

The former England international spent this season on loan in Tuscany and his contract with Manchester City is due to expire in June.

That means he will be a free agent and, despite Inter confirming they did make an offer for him in January, it looks as if he’ll return to the Premier League.

According to the Daily Mail, the list of clubs tracking Richards include the Saints, Hammers, Everton and Aston Villa.

QPR and West Ham for M'Vila

Inter will release midfielder Yann M’Vila this month with West Ham and QPR leading the race.

The 24-year-old Frenchman only joined from Rubin Kazan in July on a one-year loan worth €1m, but failed to impress the club or new Coach Roberto Mancini.

The change of system since Walter Mazzarri was sacked has also meant he’s unlikely to get more playing time in future.

He has played eight Serie A games and six in the Europa League.
