Fiorentina sign Behrami

After weeks of speculation Fiorentina have officially signed West Ham United midfielder Valon Behrami.

The 25-year-old Switzerland international joins on a permanent basis for an undisclosed fee.

Behrami's departure became inevitable when West Ham signed Gary O'Neil from Middlesbrough on Monday.

Fiorentina have brought in two new players in January, the first being Brazilian goalkeeper Neto from Atletico Paranaense.

Valon Behrami is on the verge of completing a move from West Ham United to Fiorentina, reports in Italy are insisting.

The Swiss international has been heavily linked with a January switch to Italy and it seems a deal has been wrapped up.

Despite initial interest from Roma and links with Palermo, Behrami will join Fiorentina in a transfer that will see his current Premiership club net €3.5m.

Behrami, 25, has already enjoyed spells in Italian football with a number of different clubs.

Rome sweet home for Behrami

Valon Behrami is edging closer to a Roma switch after the West Ham player reportedly found a new home in the Italian capital.

The Switzerland international has been associated with the Giallorossi for some time and a move could be imminent.

The 25-year-old is said to be looking for a new challenge after struggling to settle in the English Premier League.

He knows Rome well given that he's already played for Roma's city rivals Lazio in the past with some success.
