Inter want Joao Mario guarantees

Inter are refusing to let Joao Mario join Wolverhampton Wanderers without guarantees they’ll pay the full €35m.

The Portugal international spent last season on loan at West Ham United and seems more suited to the Premier League than Serie A.

Wolves are interested and working with agent Jorge Mendes to broker a deal this summer.

According to Tuttosport, so far they have tried to get the midfielder on a paid loan with an option to buy for €30m.

Joao Mario on way to Wolves

Inter are eager to sell Joao Mario and Wolverhampton Wanderers could do a deal within days after he rejected Bournemouth.

The 25-year-old Portugal international was signed from Sporting CP in the summer of 2016 for €40m plus bonuses, but made little impact.

He was loaned out to West Ham United last term with an option to buy, but the Premier League club chose not to activate that clause.

Now Bein Sports claim that a deal with Wolves is only days away, as it is becoming something of a Portuguese paradise.

As we reported last week, the Premier League club risk missing out on both their Serie A targets this summer.

They’ve already lost the race for Genoa defender Armando Izzo, who signed for Torino, while they are increasingly irritated with Lazio for wanting €50m for Felipe Anderson.
