Szczesny set for new Juve deal?

Juventus reportedly want to renew Wojciech Szczesny’s contract after he attracted interest from Manchester United over the summer.

According to Goal.com, United made an enquiry for Szczesny with a view to signing him in the event David de Dea left the club.

However, the website assures Juve view the Pole as “one of their prized assets” and now want to tie him down beyond 2021.

Furthermore, the Bianconeri would be prepared to offer him an increase on his current salary of €3.5m.

Juve plan to poach De Gea?

There are growing reports Juventus are planning to swoop for David De Gea as a free agent when his Manchester United contract expires.

The Bianconeri have become experts at snapping up bargains, including Paul Pogba, Aaron Ramsey, Emre Can and Adrien Rabiot.

According to The Express, Sun and Daily Mirror, De Gea is ready to reject a new contract at Old Trafford, which would allow him to leave as a free agent next summer.

Szczesny's cunning Champions plan

Wojciech Szczesny describes Maurizio Sarri methods and jokes Juventus can win the Champions League "now Matthijs de Ligt and Cristiano Ronaldo can’t knock us out.”

There is immediately a Scudetto showdown on Saturday when Napoli visit the Juventus Stadium.

“It’s not a problem going up against Napoli straight away, as we have to face everyone twice anyway,” the goalkeeper told Sky Sport Italia.

Szczesny: I'll change for Sarri

Wojciech Szczesny says he is ready to change his game for Juventus boss Maurizio Sarri and adapt to his high defensive line.

Szczesny was tried out in his new role against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday but was caught out by a last-minute Harry Kane lob as Juve fell to a 3-2 defeat in their International Champions Cup opener.

“It’s very hot in Nanjing, but it’s a beautiful city and there are so many fans here,” remarked the goalkeeper at a Press conference for tomorrow’s clash with Inter.

Sky: Buffon back at Juventus!

Gianluigi Buffon is in advanced negotiations for a return to Juventus on a one-year contract, with a future as a director, claim Sky Sport Italia.

The shot-stopper is already 41 years old and will be 42 in January 2020, but left the Bianconeri at the end of his contract in July 2018.

Although Paris Saint-Germain offered him an extension on the one-year deal, he decided against another stay in Ligue 1.

According to Sky Sport Italia transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio, Buffon is in regular and advanced talks for a stunning return to Juventus.

Juve have regularly used the same shape under Max Allegri, so it would come as no surprise to see their new tactician maintain that set-up. Szczesny has knee surgery

Juventus confirm goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has undergone keyhole surgery to clean up a right knee injury.

The operation had been announced last week by Coach Max Allegri, but it was decided to wait until the end of the season.

A statement from the club today explained the keyhole surgery was performed by Dr Cugat in Barcelona.

The intervention was to clean up the area around the medial meniscus.
