'Romagnoli to Milan at 99.8%'

Milan's joint-CEO Adriano Galliani says Alessio Romagnoli's transfer from Roma is 'done at 99.8 per cent', while Genoa President Enrico Preziosi joins the summit.

The Rossoneri executive has been in a meeting with Roma's sporting director Walter Sabatini this evening over the defender's transfer.

The two teams were divided by a negotiable amount as Milan's original offer of €25m was deemed insufficient face to Roma's €30m demand.

Roma, Pallotta and Sabatini at odds

President James Pallotta and sporting director Walter Sabatini reportedly made contradictory statements over Roma's mercato.

The Giallorossi have successfully signed Chelsea's Mohamed Salah, Arsenal's Wojciech Szczesny, and Genoa's Iago Falque, but they still need to sell several of their players and pick up a star striker.

According to the Corriere dello Sport, Pallotta responded to criticisms about the Lupi's transfer markets by suggesting that everything was under control.

Romagnoli is Roma's future

Roma are standing firm in their desire not to sell promising talent Alessio Romagnoli to Milan, Aman Sehdev believes this is the right mentality.

Milan and Roma have already dealt with each other this summer, with the sale of Andrea Bertolacci to San Siro. Following Bertloacci's arrival, the Rossoneri have come back to Rome for some more shopping, this time for another graduate of the Giallorossi youth team, Alessio Romagnoli. Dubbed the new Alessandro Nesta, Romagnoli is highly touted at the Olimpico, so much so that sporting director Walter Sabatini has placed a €30m price tag on the 20-year-old, hoping to deter Milan.

Roma must double Dzeko bid

Roma are reportedly nowhere near a deal for Edin Dzeko, as Manchester City want £20m – almost double the current offer.

Director of sport Walter Sabatini rushed out to Manchester last night on a flight via Munich to begin intensive negotiations, hoping the £49m purchase of Raheem Sterling from Liverpool would put City in a selling mood.

However, multiple Italian reports suggest talks are going badly with a huge distance between offer and demand.

This sparked speculation that the imminent face to face negotiations for Dzeko have been brought forward to Monday.

Sabatini had already confirmed the Bosnia international was a transfer target and was expected to begin intensive talks some time next week.

Roma 'snubbed' Sirigu

Salvatore Sirigu’s agent blasts Roma interest, pointing out “they could’ve signed him years ago for a laughable sum.”

The Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper was reportedly the subject of an offer worth between €8m and €11m – depending on the source.

“Salvatore feels Parisian now and will not leave. The chances of him going to the Giallorossi? Zero,” agent Carlo Pallavicini told Tuttomercatoweb.

It was Roma director of sport Walter Sabatini who first launched Sirigu on to the main stage at Palermo.
