What to expect from the new Roma

New Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini has revealed the club's plans for the future under Thomas Di Benedetto and discussed the transfer market.

Rossi-Sabatini at Sampdoria?

Sampdoria will start a new era at the club next season with the summer arrivals of boss Delio Rossi and sporting director Walter Sabatini, reports suggest.

Doria started this term in the Champions League with Domenico Di Carlo at the helm of a squad that included Antonio Cassano and Giampaolo Pazzini.

However, they were quickly disposed of in Europe, their two best players left in January and Di Carlo was axed earlier this month.

The club now find themselves just three points above the relegation zone having hired Alberto Cavasin recently.

Maurizio Zamparini's repeated criticism of Palermo Coach Delio Rossi is what prompted the club's director of sport Walter Sabatini to hand in his resignation.

Sabatini's decision to quit the Rosanero was put down to 'strictly personal reasons' in a statement released by the club yesterday morning.

However, it appears that he had grown frustrated with Zamparini's treatment of Rossi, the man he appointed in November last year.
