Atalanta fans urged to stay home

The head of the local health authority in Bergamo is asking Atalanta fans to avoid congregating to cheer on their team against Real Madrid, a year on from the Valencia game described as ‘a biological bomb.’

Osimhen 'out until early March'

Victor Osimhen has no memory of being knocked unconscious or going to hospital, as the Napoli striker’s doctor warns he’ll be out until early March.

The forward fell backwards and hit his head on the turf during the Serie A match against Atalanta on Sunday and was dropping in and out of consciousness.

He was rushed to the local hospital for tests, which fortunately all came back clear, but it has emerged he has no memory of the incident.

Diallo pays tribute to Atalanta teammate

Manchester United signing Amad Diallo paid touching tribute to his former Atalanta teammate Willy Ta Bi, who died at the age of 21.

They had won the Primavera youth team title together in 2019 in Bergamo.

He was diagnosed with cancer of the liver and returned home to the Ivory Coast in recent months.

Diallo, who left Atalanta in January for Manchester United, paid tribute to his former teammate on social media.

Atalanta squad for Real Madrid

Atalanta have named their squad for the Champions League clash with Real Madrid, missing Hans Hateboer.
