After radical changes in their marketing strategy, now Juventus are rebranding on the pitch too, writes Kaustubh Pandey.

Be it under Antonio Conte or Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus are known more for managing games and digging out results than putting on a show for fans and neutrals.

That is why getting linked with Coaches like Maurizio Sarri, Mauricio Pochettino and Pep Guardiola is strange for the Old Lady. They undoubtedly are top class managers who are doing very good things at their clubs, but they prefer playing football in a manner that is far more aesthetically pleasing than Juve.

Paratici: 'Range of names for Juve'

Juventus director Fabio Paratici insists “there is a range of Coaches we are evaluating and no time limit” on a decision, while leaving the door open for Paul Pogba too.

The Bianconeri have been heavily linked with above all three tacticians, all of them currently in the Premier League: Maurizio Sarri (Chelsea), Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) and Mauricio Pochettino (Tottenham Hotspur).

“There is a range of Coaches we are evaluating,” director of sport Paratici told reporters at the Football Leader 2019 event.

Pochettino vague on Spurs future

Mauricio Pochettino would not rule out a Juventus move after Tottenham lost the Champions League Final. “Now is not the time to talk about that.”

Spurs were beaten 2-0 by Liverpool in Madrid this evening, with a Mohamed Salah penalty in the opening two minutes and late Divock Origi goal.

Other than that, the Londoners dominated possession and tested Alisson several times in the second half.

Multiple sources state Chelsea have agreed to release Maurizio Sarri, but there are some who maintain Juventus are waiting for Pep Guardiola or Mauricio Pochettino.

Guardiola talk boosts Juve shares

Juventus shares soared amid growing reports Pep Guardiola could leave Manchester City and is their first choice ahead of Maurizio Sarri and Mauricio Pochettino.

Pochettino: 'We'll talk after the Final'

Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino refused to commit his future to Spurs after being asked about Juventus. “We’ll have time to talk after the Final.”

Paratici: 'Juve never contacted Guardiola'

Juventus director Fabio Paratici confirmed they won’t announce a new Coach until “all competitions have concluded, but we never contacted Pep Guardiola.”

Juve prepare Sarri proposal

Juventus will reportedly wait until after the Europa League Final to formally request Maurizio Sarri’s signature, with Chelsea ready to accept a €5m compensation.

According to British newspaper The Sun, Juve have made indirect approaches towards the former Napoli Coach, but out of respect for the upcoming Europa League Final against Arsenal, they are holding off on anything more concrete.

Straight after that game in Baku on May 29, the Bianconeri can ask what Chelsea want in compensation to release Sarri from his contract.
