Orsato for Turin derby

Daniele Orsato has been named as the referee for Sunday’s Derby della Mole between Torino and Juventus.

The Turin derby is the early kick-off on Sunday for Week 25, with the Bianconeri looking to return to the top of Serie A before Napoli play Spal in the afternoon.

Today the AIA has announced the referees for this weekend, and Orsato has been assigned to the derby.

Daniele Doveri has been entrusted with Sampdoria’s visit to Milan, while Claudio Gavillucci will be the man in the middle when Napoli face Spal.

Gattuso at Milan until 2020?

Milan are considering a contract extension to keep Gennaro Gattuso as their Coach until June 2020.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, the Rossoneri are so pleased with the progress under their interim tactician that they’re ready to offer a new deal.

Gattuso was the Coach of their Primavera youth team when he was promoted to the main job after Vincenzo Montella’s dismissal in November.

After a stuttering start, Milan have found their form with five wins and three draws between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

Biglia: 'Gattuso believed in me'

Lucas Biglia enjoyed his debut Milan goal, using the occasion to hit back at critics and thank Coach Gennaro Gattuso. “He believed in me during a dark period.”

The former Lazio midfielder found the net with a snapshot in today’s 4-0 victory away to SPAL.

“I am happy, as the first six months have not been easy,” Biglia told Mediaset Premium, Sky Sport Italia and Milan TV.

Semplici: 'Decisions not up to me'

Leonardo Semplici is at risk of the sack after a 4-0 drubbing by Milan. “The decisions are not down to me,” confessed the SPAL Coach.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the options to step in are Gianni De Biasi, Edy Reja and Francesco Guidolin, but as things stand, none of these candidates are particularly interested in the job.

“We ran into a strong team and reacted after conceding the goal within two minutes, creating the chances to equalise,” Semplici told Mediaset Premium.

Gattuso: 'Milan must do better'

Gennaro Gattuso tried to calm the comparisons between Patrick Cutrone and Pippo Inzaghi and insists Milan “suffered” in a 4-0 win over SPAL.

Cutrone bagged a brace at the Stadio Mazza, along with Lucas Biglia and Fabio Borini strikes.

“We put in a good performance. The 4-0 result wasn’t unfair as such, but didn’t reflect how much we suffered when only 1-0 up,” the Coach told Sky Sport Italia.

Cutrone: 'Milan comes first'

Patrick Cutrone shrugged off his individual tally of 12 goals this season, two against SPAL, to celebrate Milan success.

The 20-year-old opened the scoring at the Stadio Mazza in Ferrara after just one minute and 41 seconds, eventually winning 4-0.

“We knew it was going to be a difficult match and straight after my opening goal, we struggled under pressure. We did well to resist and like a great team find a way to kill off the game,” Cutrone told Sky Sport Italia and Mediaset Premium.

SPAL smashed by four-star Milan

Patrick Cutrone bagged a brace and Lucas Biglia enjoyed his first Milan goal in a 4-0 thumping of sorry SPAL at the Stadio Mazza.

The young striker is proving to be by far the big-spending Rossoneri’s most important player and continued that form with a double in Ferrara.

His first goal came within one minute and 41 seconds, Milan’s fastest Serie A strike since 2013, and his second again showed great awareness and reading of the game to tap in the rebound from an Alex Meret save.

Line-ups: SPAL-Milan

Milan aim to continue their positive streak and rely on Patrick Cutrone as they visit a SPAL side in crisis, ready to sack Leonardo Semplici.

It kicks off in Ferrara at 14.00 GMT.

The Rossoneri have been revitalised under Gennaro Gattuso, unbeaten in seven competitive games between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

They were held to a 1-1 draw at Udinese last week after going down to 10 men, as Davide Calabria was sent off and is therefore suspended.
