Milan were pegged back by Torino, despite an Andrea Belotti penalty miss, while Roma got the better of Genoa and Sassuolo earned a big win at Verona.

Benevento are safe from the drop for the moment, as their 3-0 home loss to Atalanta keeps things in the balance because Crotone held Juventus 1-1 and SPAL were stalled by Chievo.

Duvan Zapata grabbed a last-gasp winner for Sampdoria to beat Bologna.

Atalanta push Benevento towards B

Atalanta earned a thumping 3-0 victory at the Stadio Vigorito, even after missing a penalty, with Musa Barrow’s debut Serie A strike.

This means Benevento will be relegated tonight if either Crotone or SPAL lose their games this evening.

The Bergamo Boys kept their Europa League hopes alive with a dominant display, as Bryan Cristante rolled across for Remo Freuler to tap in.

Marten De Roon caught Benevento in possession and sent Musa Barrow through for the 19-year-old’s debut top flight goal.

Milan fined for Napoli chants

Milan have been fined €10,000 after fans engaged in anti-Neapolitan chants during their 0-0 draw with Napoli.

A stunning last-gasp save from Gianluigi Donnarumma earned the Rossoneri a point in yesterday’s match, allowing Juventus to take a six point lead at the top of Serie A.

Today the Lega Serie A has released its disciplinary report for Week 32, and the Rossoneri have been fined for “insulting songs based on territorial origin”.

Semplici congratulates SPAL players

Leonardo Semplici congratulated his SPAL players after they extended their unbeaten run to seven matches.

The Biancazzurri moved a point clear of the relegation places by holding Fiorentina, who had won their previous six Serie A matches, to a goalless draw at the Artemio Franchi.

“We faced the most in form team currently,” Semplici said after watching his side record a fifth consecutive League draw.

Pioli: ‘Viola were wasteful’

Fiorentina Coach Stefano Pioli believes his side were ‘wasteful’ in their goalless draw with SPAL and refuses to blame bad luck.

The Viola had 24 shots against their relegation-threatened opponents and also had a penalty decision in their favour overturned by the VAR system.

However, Pioli said his players’ ‘lack of precision’ was the main factor behind the end of their six-match winning run in Serie A.
