Tim Weah feels he is ‘improving every day’ at Juventus and admits it is ‘always special’ to play against Milan, where his father George was a hero.

The USMNT international started on the right wing in this evening’s 0-0 Serie A draw and gave his first post-match interview in the Italian language.

“It was a good game in a difficult moment for the team, but we must continue working well and staying concentrated for the next match,” Weah told DAZN.

The 24-year-old has now made 31 competitive appearances for Juventus, scoring one goal and providing two assists.

Does he feel that he is improving under Max Allegri and in Italian football?

“I feel good, I am happy here and it is a great opportunity for me. I am improving every day. I like to attack, it’s a challenge this season to be in a more defensive role, it’s a new position, but I am getting better.”

Weah name special for Milan

He is the son of former Milan striker George Weah, so naturally facing the Rossoneri is going to be a different occasion to the usual Serie A routine.

“It is always special to play against Milan, a team that means a lot to my family and my father. I am very happy.”
