New Milan CEO Marco Fassone promises fans that 'things will be different' after rough ride sustained during the takeover.

After numerous delays with the operation, the new man at the helm admitted life had been complicated for supporters of the club before Silvio Berlusconi finally sold the club to Chinese investors yesterday.

Yonghong Li: 'Our great responsibility'

New Milan owner Yonghong Li revealed a 'great responsibility' in living up to fan's expectations of 'returning to the top in Europe'.

The Chinese investor spoke to the Press at Casa Milan this morning.

"To all those present, ladies and gentlemen, friends and fans of AC Milan, good morning," he told reporters that were present.

"For all lovers of Milan, today is an important day: Rossoneri Sport Investment Lux have completed the purchase of the shares in Milan.

New Milan chiefs to meet squad

Milan’s new owners Yonghong Li and Han Li will dine with Silvio Berlusconi tonight, then meet the squad and Coach Vincenzo Montella tomorrow.

The long-awaited takeover was completed today, as Berlusconi sold the club after 31 years at the helm.

This evening, Yonghong Li, Han Li, new directors Marco Fassone and Massimiliano Mirabelli will dine with Berlusconi at his Arcore residence.

Berlusconi: ‘Goodbye Milan’

Silvio Berlusconi bids an emotional farewell to Milan as the club needs “investment and resources a single family can no longer support”.

It was officially confirmed today that the now former Rossoneri President has sold the club to a Chinese group, and he posted a goodbye message on his official Facebook page.

“Today, after more than 30 years, I leave the position as President of AC Milan,” Berlusconi began.

Five priorities for the new Milan owners

It was officially confirmed today that Milan have finally been sold to Yonghong Li and his Rossoneri Sport Investment consortium.

Silvio Berlusconi has sold the club after 31 years at the helm, a tenure which brought 29 major trophies, including five European Cups.

However, the last major triumph was the 2011 Scudetto win, so the Chinese owners have plenty of work to do.
