Napoli reunion for Cavani?

As well as Inter and Atletico Madrid, it’s reported Napoli are offering Edinson Cavani a contract, as his agent will ‘listen to and evaluate all options.’

Paris Saint-Germain director Leonardo confirmed Cavani will be leaving as a free agent this summer, so can choose his next destination.

Atletico Madrid are believed to be the favourites ahead of Inter, but now an intriguing third option has emerged.

French site Le10Sport.com claim Napoli have been in contact with the Matador to ask for a sensational return to the Stadio San Paolo.

Italian transfer window dates set

The FIGC has officially announced the transfer sessions will run from September 1 to October 5 2020 and January 4 to February 1 2021.

The decision had already been in the air and was confirmed this afternoon by a statement from the Italian Football Federation.

Because the 2019-20 season is extended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, naturally the transfer session over the summer will also have to be shuffled along the calendar.

Sarri: 'I don't think about Napoli'

Maurizio Sarri insists he only focuses on Juventus ahead of the Coppa Italia clash with his former club Napoli: “I’m happy to be in the Final.”

The first trophy will be assigned tomorrow, as Juventus play Napoli at the Stadio Olimpico in the Coppa Italia, and the Old Lady coach doesn’t expect the high intensity of a normal Final.

Sarri watched his former club beat Inter 2-1 on aggregate in the other semi-final but felt the Partenopei sat back and waited to hit the Nerazzurri on the break.

Juventus still chase Milik?

Napoli forward Arek Milik could reportedly reunite with Maurizio Sarri at Juventus this summer, to replace Gonzalo Higuain for the second time in his career.

Il Corriere dello Sport claims the link between Milik and the Bianconeri has not disappeared and claims the Poland international could be on his way to Turin.

Four years after having replaced Higuain at the San Paolo under Sarri’s reign, the 26-year-old could follow in the Argentine’s footsteps yet again.

Will Sarri's Juventus stand up?

Juventus were the first team to reach the Olimpico showpiece but, as Livio Caferoglu writes, they have plenty to mull over before the Final with Napoli...

For Juventus, there was an overriding sense of relief when Gianluca Rocchi blew for full-time last Friday. They booked their place in the Coppa Italia Final, courtesy of a goalless draw with Milan, and pulled through without any injuries, even managing to play a bit in the first half. However, their performance levels plummeted after the restart, leaving Maurizio Sarri with more questions than answers going into Wednesday’s Final against former club Napoli.

VIDEO: Maradona congratulates Mertens

Diego Maradona has congratulated Dries Mertens for becoming Napoli’s all-time top goalscorer. “Like this, we get better every day.”

Maradona had been Napoli’s top scorer for almost three decades on 115 goals, until Marek Hamsik surpassed him in December 2017.

Hamsik left Napoli on 121 goals, which Mertens had been stuck on since February before his equaliser against Inter, which also sent the Partenopei into the Coppa Italia Final.
