Juve on Pogba and Giovinco

Beppe Marotta denied knowledge of Sebastian Giovinco’s Toronto FC move and said Paul Pogba is “resisting” big offers.

The general manager spoke to Sky Sport Italia ahead of tonight’s Serie A match against Verona.

“We are accustomed to putting together a squad during the summer. We are not in any emergency situation, so there’s no need to sign anyone in January.

“Of course if a good opportunity was to present itself, then we would take it, but at the moment I don’t see any.”

Report: Giovinco signs for Toronto FC

Canadian media are adamant Juventus rebel Sebastian Giovinco has already agreed a move to Toronto FC.

The Atomic Ant has refused to sign a contract extension and will therefore become a free agent in July.

According to Sportsnet.ca, Giovinco has agreed terms on a four-year deal after his entourage met with MLS officials this week.

The rumour had already emerged in Italy, but Canadian sources claim the move will formally be announced as early as Monday or Tuesday.
