Ibra: ‘Galliani tore Inter shirt’

Zlatan Ibrahimovic reveals Adriano Galliani physically ripped the Scudetto badge from an Inter shirt while he was at Milan.

The Swedish striker joined the Rossoneri from Barcelona in 2010, winning the Scudetto in his first season.

“My family was very happy in Milan,” Ibrahimovic told Fox Sports.

“I spoke with Galliani and [President Silvio] Berlusconi and they had convinced me to join them with great desire and motivation.

One game ban for Bacca

Carlos Bacca has been given a one-match ban for his reaction after Milan were beaten by Juventus.

The striker was furious about the award of a last minute penalty to the Bianconeri, and had to be physically restrained by his Coach, Vincenzo Montella, as he sought to confront match officials.

Today’s disciplinary ruling has found that the Rossoneri man “publicly and vehemently protested against an assistant referee”, showing “an aggressive attitude”.

Galliani: ‘Juventus game crucial for Milan’

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani admits Friday’s Juventus game is “a crucial match”.

The Rossoneri face the Serie A leaders in Turin, having failed to win at Juventus Stadium since it was opened.

“It’s a crucial match for our season,” Galliani told reporters outside a team dinner at Kaimano restaurant.

“It’s a fixture which holds so many memories, from the one we won with a goal from [Ruud] Gullit to  the unforgettable Champions League final in Manchester.

‘Sosa cut wages to join Milan’

Adriano Galliani reveals Jose Sosa “gave up a lot of money just to come to Milan”.

The midfielder signed for the Rossoneri from Besiktas in the summer for a €7.5m fee, one of the few transfers conducted int he window.

“I’m happy with Jose Sosa,” Galliani told Milan TV.

“I’ll tell you an anecdote: in July I met Nicholas Gancikoff for dinner and we both wanted Sosa. Then [Vincenzo] Montella had his list of targets and he was on there too.

Milan face legal battle over €200m

Milan could face a legal battle over the €200m already deposited by Sino-Europe Sports, should a takeover fail to materialise.

After numerous delays and postponements, a deal was set to be finalised on March 3rd, only for Vice President Adriano Galliani to confirm that the takeover would not go through on the specified date.

This was said to be due to a failure to raise the necessary funds from the Chinese backers who were seeking to take a controlling stake in the club.

Montella: 'No takeover excuses'

Vincenzo Montella says there must be 'no excuses' for the team, after a Milan takeover was delayed yet again.

Vice President Adriano Galliani announced the latest setback, after a deal was scheduled to be finalised today.

Official: No Milan closing today

Milan Vice President Adriano Galliani confirms that there will be no closing of the takeover with Sino-Europe Sports today.

After a series of postponements, an announcement in December read that the final date for closing the deal was set for today, March 3rd.

However at a shareholders meeting this morning, Galliani confirmed that this would not be the case, amidst rumours that SES had been unable to raise the necessary funds.

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani refuses to discuss the takeover - “Thursday is the day of silence”.

Chinese consortium Sino-Europe Sports is in the process of buying the Rossoneri from Silvio Berlusconi and his holding company, Fininvest.

However, the deal has been hit by a series of delays, and it’s expected that today it will be announced that the sale won’t be completed by tomorrow’s deadline.

“Thursday is the day of silence,” Galliani told reporters as he arrived at the Lega Serie A headquarters this morning.

Galliani: 'Deulofeu no surprise'

Milan CEO Adriano Galliani is not surprised by Gerard Deulofeu’s fine form and admits he’s feeling anxious as the club sale approaches.

The Rossoneri got together for a big team dinner on Friday evening, organised by Coach Vincenzo Montella.

Only goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma was given the night off, as today is his 18th birthday.

“Of course there are strong emotions at this time, because you cannot cancel out 31 years in one minute,” Galliani told reporters outside the restaurant.
