Lazio call for N'Koulou

Lazio’s search for a new defender has moved to Marseille for Cameroon international Nicolas N’Koulou.

Calciomercato.it claim that the 25-year-old is the latest January transfer target to replace injured Stefan de Vrij.

He will be out of contract in June and looks set to reject a renewal.

It’s believed Olympique Marseille want €3.5m for the player, whereas Lazio would rather pay half that sum.

Despite only being 25, N’Koulou is a Cameroon veteran with 68 caps.

Milan offer Mexes to Marseille?

Reports in France suggest Milan have offered defender Philippe Mexes to Olympique Marseille.

The 33-year-old has made just one Serie A start under Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic this season, despite having his contract renewed in the summer.

According to France Football, the Rossoneri have offered Marseille the chance to take the centre-back, whose contract is expiring at the end of the season.

It’s not clear if a fee would be involved, though it seems unlikely given Mexes’ age and the fact he can leave for free in the summer.

Marseille in for Zaza?

The Italian international was thought to be close to joining West Ham United, but that move appears to have fallen through after Fernando Llorente joined Sevilla.

Despite this, Gianluca Di Marzio’s website believes that Zaza has not been taken off the market, and is now a target for the Ligue 1 club.

André-Pierre Gignac departed Stade Velodrome this summer, so l’OM are in need of a central striker.
