Garcia: ‘Marseille almost out’

Rudi Garcia concedes Marseille “are almost eliminated from the Europa League” after “Lazio deservedly won” tonight.

The Biancocelesti won 3-1 in France, a result which puts them five points clear in second place with three games to play.

“Lazio deservedly won,” Garcia, a former Roma Coach, admitted in his pre-match Press conference.

“We did a lot of things wrong, we suffered with the pace of [Ciro] Immobile and [Felipe] Caicedo in attack.

Inzaghi: ‘Deserved win for Lazio’

Lazio Coach Simone Inzaghi feels “we deserved to win” against Marseille, admitting “the entrance wasn’t pleasant”.

Caicedo: 'Lazio were perfect'

Felipe Caicedo feels Lazio's players were "all perfect" as they secured a 3-1 win away at Marseille in the Europa League.

It’s claimed two pig heads were impaled on the gates of a hotel where Lazio fans are staying in Marseille.

There were clashes between the two sets of supporters last night, with two Italians and one Frenchman sustaining minor injuries.

According to local newspaper La Provence, the tensions have been exacerbated by political differences, as Lazio have a far-right fringe among their support and the Marseille ultras are known for their anti-fascist ideology.
