Spinazzola: 'Roma going to be fun'

Leonardo Spinazzola insists he has no regrets at leaving Juventus for Roma, as Paulo Fonseca’s football is “attractive to watch and fun to play in.”

The versatile full-back made the move in exchange for cash plus Luca Pellegrini and is hoping for more playing time than he got in Turin.

“Roma have always been a great club with excellent players, while the atmosphere with the fans at the Stadio Olimpico is remarkable. It’s always been fun to play here,” said Spinazzola in his Press conference.

Fazio ready for Fonseca era

Roma defender Federico Fazio is ready for the Paulo Fonseca era but warns ‘the start of the season will be hugely important.’

Fazio is entering his fourth season with Roma, but the 32-year-old goes into the campaign without his usual partner Kostas Manolas and with a new Coach, who is known for his use of a high line at the back.

Fonseca warning for Roma pair

Paulo Fonseca has warned Nicolo Zaniolo and Edin Dzeko that he only wants players who ‘are happy to be at Roma’ and ‘show they deserve be at this club’.

Fonseca spoke at his first Press conference as Roma boss on Monday and assured he would build a team that ‘all our fans can be proud of’.

Fonseca demands 'bravery & quality'

Roma boss Paulo Fonseca feels lucky to be the club’s new Coach and is demanding ‘bravery and quality’ from his players.

Fonseca was confirmed as Claudio Ranieri’s successor earlier in the month, fresh off winning three League titles with Shakhtar Donetsk, and will officially start work on Wednesday.

“To be Coach of Roma is a great, great pleasure and I’m very excited and motivated,” he told Roma TV.

'Motivated' Fonseca arrives for Roma

New Roma boss Paulo Fonseca says he is ‘very happy and motivated’ to start work after landing in the Italian capital.

Fonseca touched down in Rome on Monday morning ahead of formally taking charge on Wednesday, and the ex-Shakhtar Donetsk Coach is excited about his new ‘adventure’.

“I’m very happy and motivated to start this adventure,” the 46-year-old told reporters at Fiumicino airport.

James Pallotta has warned Roma’s players that they will be gone if they do not give 100 percent under Paulo Fonseca. “He spoke about discipline quite a bit.”

Roma ask Man Utd for Fred

New Roma Coach Paulo Fonseca has reportedly requested his ex-Shakhtar Donetsk midfielder Fred from Manchester United.

The Old Trafford club paid a massive €60m to bring the Brazilian in from Shakhtar a year ago, but the results have been disappointing.

He managed only 25 competitive appearances, contributing one goal and one assist.

According to Il Romanista paper, that will allow Roma to get a deal for Fred on loan with option to buy.
