Mihajlovic: 'It hurts to lose like this'

Sinisa Mihajlovic feels Fiorentina “did not deserve to lose” against Inter. “It hurts to suffer a defeat like this.”

The Viola had fought back after Michele Camporese's own goal, but Giampaolo Pazzini tapped in the 2-1 winner.

“I prefer to win and play well, but I think we got half of that right this evening,” commented Mihajlovic.

Mutu call to 'Romanian gangster'

Adrian Mutu is in trouble again after the Fiorentina striker's phone call with an alleged Romanian gangster was wiretapped.

“It was not a business call, but just a conversation between people who have known each other for 10 years and was recorded at least two or three years ago,” said Mutu's agent Pietro Chiodi.

The striker was speaking to Nuredin Beinur, who is currently on trial in Romania for corruption, bribery and violent intimidation.

Mihajlovic: 'Fiorentina can do better'

Sinisa Mihajlovic feels the return of Adrian Mutu and other players is behind Fiorentina's stunning victory in Sicily.

The Viola were without a single away win all season, while Palermo had seven consecutive home triumphs, so this 4-2 result was a huge shock.

“I am very satisfied,” grinned Mihajlovic. “We're still not at our best, because we are missing some key players for the attack. Once we have everyone back, we will be able to play even better.

Palermo rule out Rossi exit

Palermo claim that boss Delio Rossi won't be joining Fiorentina, this weekend's opponents, at the end of the season.

The tactician has been linked with a number of clubs after a series of public spats with President Maurizio Zamparini.

Fiorentina, given their struggles under Sinisa Mihajlovic, have been paired but a move seemingly isn't on the horizon.

"I've read the Fiorentina reports, but I don't think there will be a coaching change," Palermo Vice-President Guglielmo Miccichè noted.

Better to sell Monty abroad

If Riccardo Montolivo were to leave in the summer, Fiorentina would prefer to sell the midfielder abroad, according to Il Corriere dello Sport.

Montolivo has stalled on a new contract offer and plans to review his options at the end of the season.

The Italy international's existing deal is due to expire in June 2012.

Italy's big three are all interested in signing Montolivo, but Bayern Munich have also been long-term admirers of the 26-year-old.

Adrian Mutu is expected to return to Fiorentina's starting line up for this weekend's match against Cesena.

The 32-year-old has been made available for selection again after falling out with the club in January.

Fiorentina owner Andrea Della Valle considered legal action against Mutu after he left training without permission.

He has since apologised for his actions and left his agent.

Mutu hasn't started a game for Fiorentina since December when he played against Udinese.

The club website confirmed the permanent sale of the Argentine midfielder to Brazilian side Internacional de Porto Alegre.

He joined the Viola in January 2010 for €3.8m in a co-ownership deal from Porto, signing a four-year contract.

However, Bolatti barely featured during his year in Italy and was sold to Internacional for the same sum he was signed for.

It will take at least a month for Kroldrup to return to the playing field, though.
