Iachini: 'No alibis against Napoli'

Fiorentina boss Beppe Iachini isn’t looking for alibis when his side face Napoli tomorrow. “We won against Atalanta with the same recovery time.”

The Viola travel to the San Paolo to face the Partenopei tomorrow, with kickoff at 19:45 GMT, and Iachini doesn’t want any excuses despite playing in the Coppa Italia midweek.

Pedro lands in Brazil

Fiorentina striker Pedro has landed in Brazil ahead of his move to Flamengo.

The Brazilian striker landed in Italy only in September, signing for the Viola from Fluiminense for €10m.

However the 22-year-old hardly played for the club, making just six appearances, including two for the Viola’s primavera side.

A deal has been agreed between the clubs for a €2m loan and an option to buy for €14m, to be made permanent under specific conditions.

Dabo: 'I trained alone'

Bryan Dabo claimed his last months at Fiorentina was “horrible” but is determined to “focus on saving” SPAL from relegation.

The midfielder moved to Ferrara this month and has claimed he trained “alone” with a “goal” of securing a move when the transfer market reopened.

“It was a horrible story,” he said at a press conference. “I trained alone, and I had the goal of playing in January.

Cutrone: 'A great feeling'

Patrick Cutrone said it “was a great feeling” to score on his full debut for Fiorentina and revealed he was “delighted” with the move to Artemio Franchi.

The former Milan forward scored during the 2-1 win against Atalanta and helped the Viola through to the last eight of the Coppa Italia this term.

Despite already presenting himself for his new fans yesterday, he met with the reporters today to talk about the decision to move back to Italy.

Atalanta condemn Gasp insults

President Antonio Percassi has supported Gian Piero Gasperini after his reaction to the “indecent chants” directed at the coach during Fiorentina-Atalanta.

Atalanta were eliminated from the Coppa Italia after a 2-1 loss to Fiorentina in Florence, but the supremo claimed he could “clearly” hear “disgusting” chants towards his coach on TV.

Commisso: 'Heroic Fiorentina'

Fiorentina President Rocco Commisso hailed his team for “a heroic victory” down to 10 men against Atalanta, reaching the Coppa Italia Quarter-Finals.

The Viola will face Inter at San Siro on January 29 after managing to eliminate last season’s Finalists, 2-1 at the Stadio Franchi.

“This victory was undoubtedly the most beautiful, against a very strong opponent and down to 10 men,” Commisso told Rai Sport.

Coppa Italia quarter-final schedule

Napoli-Lazio will open the Coppa Italia Quarter-Finals on January 21, with Inter-Fiorentina closing the schedule on January 29.

Some of the fixtures are still to be decided, as more Round of 16 ties are being played today and tomorrow.

We do know that Napoli will host Lazio on Tuesday January 21, kicking off at 19.45 GMT.

The winners of Juventus-Parma will face either Roma or Parma on Wednesday January 22.

Torino are up against the Milan-SPAL victors on Tuesday January 28
