Pirlo: Available for new Coach

Andrea Pirlo has conceded that whilst he intends to retire from international duty, if Italy’s new Coach wants him, he will be available.

The 35-year-old confirmed months in advance of the 2014 World Cup that his intention after the tournament was to step away from international football.

Whilst that remains the case following the Azzurri’s group stage exit in Brazil, the Juventus man has hinted that it is not a definitive position.

Italy squad leaves Brazil

Italy are flying back from Brazil tonight with Mario Balotelli sporting a new hairstyle and visibly distant from his teammates.

The Azzurri left their Mangaratiba training camp for the airport in Rio de Janeiro, where they’ll fly direct to Rome and then some of the squad will catch a connecting flight to Milan.

There still appears to be a great deal of tension within the squad, as the players were silent when walking past reporters.
