Reports suggest English Premier League side Arsenal are prepared to pay €50m for Inter’s Mauro Icardi.
The Gunners have been linked with last season’s Serie A top-scorer in the past, but the 22-year-old has insisted he wants to remain at San Siro.
However, Icardi has played cameo roles in several big games this season, being hauled-off after 46 minutes of last night’s defeat to Napoli without having a shot on goal, with speculation he is unhappy after being benched against Roma.
The striker has failed to replicate last season’s goalscoring form, something which he blames on a lack of service, meaning the Nerazzurri could be ready to cash-in in order to fund January transfers.
Fichajes claims that Arsenal are ready take advantage, and are preparing an offer worth €50m [£35m] to bring the Argentinian to London.
Arsene Wenger’s side have struggled with injuries this season, with forwards Danny Welbeck, Theo Walcott and Alexis Sanchez all recently injured.
