The Rossoneri are rumoured to have already taken their decision to get rid of Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic, after a disappointing campaign left them in sixth place with six games to go.

A long dinner between President Silvio Berlusconi and Primavera Coach Brocchi convinced the former that a change of guard was appropriate. Brocchi will now become Milan's fifth Coach in less than three years.

Palermo's saga also continues, as Coach Walter Novellino confirmed that he has been sacked and wished his team the best possible luck.

President Maurizio Zamparini, whose reputation for sacking Coaches on a whim keeps being confirmed, commented angrily that he was the real victim.

The new Coach is expected to be Davide Ballardini, who already held the reins of the Rosanero when he joined them in November 2015 to replace the sacked Giuseppe Iachini. He was sacked himself after seven games.

Official statements by both clubs are expected in the morning.
