Napoli are the new Serie A leaders after a 3-1 win at Torino, as Inter lost their unbeaten record against Udinese.

“If Inter had won today, we’d have taken the same approach tonight. It’s a complicated situation, but we’ve got to win regardless of what the other teams do,” the director of sport told Mediaset Premium.

“Mentality is important when it comes to action as much as words. We’ve got to take it one game at a time and remember the next test is always the most important.”

Monchi was asked about reports that Juventus are ready to offer €20m for left-back Emerson Palmieri in January.

“I read it in the paper this morning. We are at a moment of the season where a different story will emerge every day. We want Emerson to reach his level, there is nothing in it and we have not received any contact, not talked to anyone about Emerson. It doesn’t exist.”
