“We took Locatelli on loan with obligation to buy, so he will remain at Sassuolo. It has been defined,” the director told Sky Sport Italia.
It was a loan for €2m with option to buy for another €10m once certain targets were met.
“We are satisfied with his performances, he is a player whose characteristics are not easy to find in Italian football and we believe we made an excellent investment.
“Locatelli has been playing in Serie A for a few years, but let’s not forget he is still only 21 years old.”
