Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis says it will be ‘very nice’ to see Carlo Ancelotti beat Maurizio Sarri’s Juventus next season.

Sarri worked under De Laurentiis at Napoli between 2015 and 2018 but has since joined their arch-rivals Juve, who unveiled him as their new Coach on Thursday morning.

“Sarri is a man of the stadium, the curve, someone who’s liked by the fans,” the patron told Tutto Napoli.

“Ancelotti, on the other hand, is a company man. It’ll be even better to see Ancelotti beat Juve on the pitch.

“Sarri is always in tracksuits, he shouts and swears. I’d like to see how he adapts to the style of his new team, but it’ll be even better to see Ancelotti beat Juve on the pitch.

“After that, what the Napoli fans, who consider Sarri to be only a great traitor, say?”

The former Chelsea boss, meanwhile, was asked about his ex-employer during his presentation.

“I haven’t heard from the President. Everyone thinks I have an ugly rapport with Aurelio, but I will always thank him.

“How often does a child who supported Napoli get to be their Coach? There can be divergent views along the way, but that's natural with two strong characters.”
