Bennacer’s long-awaited transfer to the Diavolo from Empoli was finally confirmed yesterday, and the Algeria midfielder is delighted to have made the move.
“I’m very happy to be here and to be part of this glorious club,” the 21-year-old told Milan TV.

“I didn’t expect all this success because three years ago I wasn’t playing for my national team.
“I remained patient, trained a lot and now everything is beautiful. I’m very happy. To the fans I say, ‘Forza Milan, we’re a great team!’
“I’ll give my all, I can’t wait to get started and I’ll make sure I’m 2,000 percent ready!”
