“We have respect for Barcelona, but want to play for the maximum result all the way. Messi’s presence in the line-up adds a very high level of quality to the game.
“It’s a pity that Romelu Lukaku couldn’t make it, above all because matches now last almost 100 minutes and it is important to have alternatives in the squad.
“The player has a muscular problem and as a precaution, with so many games close together at the moment, it was decided to rest him so he could recuperate fully.”
Antonio Conte said in his Press conference that he didn’t want points against Barcelona if it meant being under siege for 90 minutes.
